    What’s new at Bitcoin.com

What’s New at Bitcoin.com? Checkout for Merchants, a Smarter News App, and OrangeRock Goes Multi-Platform

It’s been a busy year at Bitcoin.com. Beyond the wallet you already know, we’ve shipped an entire lineup of new apps: a point-of-sale tool for merchants, a reimagined news app with its own 24/7 live channel, and a self-custodial trading app built on Hyperliquid. We’ve also raised the bar on our crypto casino reviews. Here’s what’s new.

Bitcoin.com Checkout: Accept Crypto In Person, No Hardware Required

Bitcoin.com Checkout turns any phone or tablet into a crypto point-of-sale terminal. Merchants can accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in person, with no dedicated hardware and full custody of their funds — payments go directly to the merchant, not through us.

Since launching earlier this year on iOS and Android, Checkout has kept shipping:

    • Stablecoin auto-swaps. Merchants who want to skip volatility can enable automatic settlement into FUSD, so a sale made in crypto lands as a stable balance.
    • Zebec Card access and a new Partners section. The latest release lets merchants access Zebec Card services directly from Settings and explore offers from Bitcoin.com partners inside the app.
    • Get discovered on the map. Checkout connects with maps.bitcoin.com, our directory of crypto-accepting merchants, so accepting crypto also means new customers can find you.

If you run a business and have ever wanted to accept crypto without the usual friction, this is the simplest way to start. Learn more at checkout.bitcoin.com, or get the app.

The Bitcoin.com News App: Now With Its Own 24/7 Live Channel

The Bitcoin.com News App (iOS and macOS | Android) has evolved from a headline reader into a full crypto media companion. Recent releases have added:

    • Bitcoin.com TV Live. Our own around-the-clock news channel now streams directly inside the app — markets, breaking stories, and analysis, 24/7.
    • The Weekly Magazine. Every Sunday, the week’s top stories are packaged into a beautifully designed digital magazine. Browse past issues on an interactive newsstand, read offline, and pick up exactly where you left off.
    • Private, on-device AI. The app’s AI assistant runs locally on your phone — highlight any passage in an article and ask about it, with your questions never leaving your device.
    • Prediction markets. See what the market thinks about the stories you’re reading, with relevant prediction markets surfaced alongside the news.
    • A real community layer. Comment on articles, reply inline, follow your favorite writers, swipe between stories, and subscribe to the topics you care about.

OrangeRock: Self-Custodial Trading, Now on Android

OrangeRock is our next-generation decentralized trading app, built on Hyperliquid. It combines spot trading, perpetual futures, and cross-chain swaps in one app — non-custodial, with no KYC and no account approval process. You hold the keys; not even we can touch your funds.

    What’s new:

    • Android is live. OrangeRock started on iOS and is now available on Google Play, with a desktop app on the way.
    • Trade more than crypto. Through Hyperliquid’s expanding markets, OrangeRock now lists perpetuals on equities, indices, ETFs, and FX alongside 250+ crypto pairs — with up to 40x leverage and a pro-grade terminal.
    • Native cross-chain swaps. A Chainflip integration lets you swap BTC, ETH, SOL, and more across chains natively — no wrapped tokens, no centralized custodian.
    • Smarter risk tools. Stop-loss and take-profit orders, plus fully customizable price alerts that work even when the app is closed.
    • WalletConnect support. Connect OrangeRock to your favorite dapps without leaving self-custody.

Onboarding takes minutes thanks to passkey login — no seed-phrase juggling unless you want it.

Casino Reviews You Can Check For Yourself

Our reviews on bitcoin.com/gambling now go deeper than ever. Every review is independently researched by our editorial team, scored against a consistent methodology, and refreshed when platforms change. We verify what can be checked — licenses in regulator databases, published terms, withdrawal conditions, responsible-gambling measures — and clearly separate independently verified facts from operator claims.

The scores are honest ones, including the unflattering ones, and the methodology behind them is published in full at How We Rate. If a casino has a 45-day dormancy clause buried in its terms, our review will tell you.

    More to Come

All of this is part of a bigger push: making Bitcoin.com the easiest place to use crypto in the real world — whether you’re accepting it at your shop, following the markets, trading on-chain, or just trying to figure out which platforms deserve your trust.

Download the apps, kick the tires, and let us know what you think.
