The Argentine Football Association has signed a sponsorship agreement with crypto exchange XBO.com.
The Argentine Football Association has entered into a sponsorship deal with XBO.com, a cryptocurrency exchange specializing in fiat-to-crypto conversions, spot and futures trading, and high-yield investment opportunities. The deal makes XBO.com the Official Global Sponsor of the Argentina National Football Team for 2025. This partnership will support the team during the final stages of the World Cup 2026 qualification matches.
As part of the sponsorship, XBO.com will launch various fan engagement initiatives, including exclusive rewards (e.g. VIP match tickets and stadium tours) and interactive campaigns featuring challenges, competitions, and promotions that bridge football with crypto.

The partnership between XBO and AFA marks another significant step in the increasing convergence of crypto and sports. Recently, Aston Martin’s Formula One team partnered with Coinbase as its Official Crypto Partner. The agreement, paid entirely in USD Coin (USDC) will see Coinbase’s logo featured on Aston Martin’s AMR25 racing car and the suits of drivers Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll. Aston Martin Aramco also plans to explore blockchain-based fan engagement opportunities using Coinbase’s Ethereum Layer 2 network, Base.
Crypto.com, another major crypto exchange, has also been part of the growing intersection between crypto and competitive sports. The company has worked with Formula One since 2021 and recently extended its partnership until 2030, making it one of the organization’s longest-term sponsors.
